Oak Profits was founded by Carlos Hernandez to provide simple, seamless and efficient cloud accounting solutions to small business owners. We understand that running a business can be grueling work with many long days and late nights. In addition, today’s business environment is known for its fast-paced nature, characterized by rapid changes, technological advancements, and fierce competition, requiring quick decision-making and adaptability. FOUNDER
Carlos Hernandez, CPA, MST
Carlos founded Oak Profits after working 25 years in accounting and tax, gaining invaluable insights from both public accounting firms and the private sector. These diverse experiences included executive leadership positions as a VP of Accounting for two large privately owned real estate developers in Florida, Controller roles for Marriott International and Related Group, and Senior Tax Associate positions at Deloitte and a large regional accounting firm in Washington, DC.
Carlos graduated from American University in Washington, DC with a Master of Science in Taxation and is a Florida licensed CPA. He also holds a Bachelor of Accounting from Florida International University in Miami, FL.
Carlos enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife (Dania) and three kids.

Dania Hernandez, CPA, MST
Dania has over 22 years of diverse experience in accounting, taxation, and financial reporting.
Dania started her career in accounting at the age of 18 when she was a junior accountant at a small boutique accounting firm. Her diverse experiences have included a Director of Tax role for a large multinational company in the private sector, Tax Manager role at Deloitte and Senior Accountant roles at Baker Tilly and for a large regional firm in Washington, DC.
Dania graduated from American University in Washington, DC with a Master of Science in Taxation and is a Florida licensed CPA. She also holds a Bachelor of Accounting from Florida International University in Miami, FL.
In her spare time, you can find Dania reading a book, exercising, traveling or planning her next trip. Dania enjoys spending time with her husband (Carlos) and three kids.
